Sandhurst Castle is a medieval castle in the town of Sandhurst, Berkshire, England. It is a Scheduled Monument and a Grade I listed building.
The castle was built for Henry de Bohun between 1220 and 1227 on the site of an earlier Norman fortification. Henry’s son Humphrey de Bohun inherited the estate upon his father’s death in 1244; however, Humphrey’s marriage to Isabel le Despenser led to conflict with King Henry III over their lands in Wales and Gascony (now Guienne). The king ordered him arrested and imprisoned at Wallingford Castle; but he escaped with assistance from Edward Longshanks’ wife Eleanor de Clare who was related to both Humphrey and Isabel le Desperance through marriage or bloodline.[citation needed]

The admission fee for adults is £4 for children up to 14 years old; £3 for those aged 15-18 (included with general admission); free for under 12s.
