Introduction

Odiham is a small town in Hampshire, England. The town has been inhabited since Saxon times and has many historic buildings. Odiham lies close to the border with Wiltshire, which makes it an ideal place for exploring both counties. Here are some of our favourite’ places to visit near Odiham:

The Royal Clarence Hotel

The Royal Clarence Hotel is a great place to stay and it has everything you need. You can stay in one of the rooms, or you can spend the night in the hotel’s restaurant and bar. It also has a swimming pool where you can enjoy your holiday with friends and family members, or even by yourself if that’s what makes you happy!

The gym at this hotel is open 24 hours a day so there will be no excuse for not working out when it suits your schedule best.

Bosworth Battlefield

Bosworth Battlefield is a National Trust property, and it’s located in the town of Ashby de la Zouch. The battlefield was once home to Henry Tudor, who was victorious at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485.

The battle itself was one of the most important events in English history, as it ended Richard III’s attempts at becoming king—and thus making him a tyrant over his subjects—and brought about the end of his reign as well. It also marked what many consider England’s greatest victory against France since Agincourt in 1415 (though some historians disagree).

Visitors can tour this historic site by themselves or with friends and family members; they’ll find plenty to see here if they’re looking for something fun and educational!

St Nicholas Church

The church of St Nicholas is located in Odiham, Hampshire. It was built in the 12th century and it is a Grade I listed building. It’s dedicated to Saint Nicholas and has been described as “the finest example of Perpendicular architecture” in Hampshire.

The church has many interesting features that make it one of my favorite churches in England:

The ceiling contains 15 panels depicting different scenes from the Bible story of Noah’s ark (Genesis 6-9). You can see how they were designed by looking at them closely; there are some very clever details here! For instance, look at this panel: it shows an angel holding up an open book with writing on it – showing us what happens when God speaks!

Kingston Hill

Kingston Hill is a hill in the Cotswolds, located in the town of Odiham. It’s a popular place that has a pub, restaurant and tourist information centre. The views from here are spectacular and can be enjoyed by walking along the path or hiring bikes from one of the local companies (like Peak Cycles).

Arundel Castle and Gardens

Arundel Castle is a medieval castle and palace in Arundel, West Sussex, England. It is a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

The present structure dates from the 12th century but was rebuilt many times over the centuries. It was enlarged by Henry III in 1219–1221, Henry VIII in 1540–1541 and Elizabeth I in 1565–1575. The castle’s last major addition came during James II’s reign when he added two wings to the east side of the main block; these are known collectively as “The New Buildings”.

During World War II, Arundel Castle housed prisoners-of-war who were being held there before being sent to other camps such as Colditz or Stalag Luft III (Stalag Luft VI).

Dorset Steam Railway

The Dorset Steam Railway runs between Dorchester and Bournemouth, two towns on the south coast of England. It’s a tourist attraction in its own right and offers great views of the countryside as you travel along it. The railway also has an onboard shop where you can buy souvenirs and snacks, but if you’re looking for something more substantial than that then there are also restaurants available on board or at nearby stations like Sturminster Newton or Bridport (which is just over an hour away).

Puckeridge Barn

Puckeridge Barn is a country house in Puckeridge, near Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds.

It is a Grade I listed building and was built between 1679 and 1704 by Sir Thomas Coventry (died 1709). It has been home to many distinguished families including the Windhams and Gage family who owned it from 1827 until 1914 when it was sold for £25000

Longcross Studios, Pinewood Studios and Arndale Mall

Longcross Studios, Pinewood Studios and Arndale Mall are all in the same area.

Longcross Studios is a film studio which was built in 2002 and can accommodate up to 100 people at any one time. It has been used for many films including The Matrix: Revolutions, Harry Potter, Titanic and Spiderman 3.

Pinewood Studios is also located near Odiham with over 1000 acres of land available for production usage (including backlots). It’s home to many British films like Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace or Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End.

The Cotswolds AONB is a World Heritage Site, which means it’s protected by UNESCO. It’s also a National Park, so you can’t just drive through it like you would any other area. In fact, the only way to visit this area is by foot or on horseback!
